2026 sees White Sheet Radio Flying Club soar into its 51st year at one of Britain’s finest slope sites. Perched high on the rolling chalk downs of Wiltshire, White Sheet Hill offers superb lift and big skies, we’re proud to have flown here for over half a century. From the balsa-built beginnings to today’s impressive scale models, tradition and progress fly side by side. Modern composite gliders share the slope with beautifully crafted vintage designs, while fast F3F racers, elegant F5J thermal soarers, PSS, DLG, and foam favourites like the Zagi and Ahi ensure there’s a place in the sky at White Sheet Radio Flying Club for everyone.
Whether you’re taking your first steps into RC flying or you’ve been on the sticks for decades, WSRFC offers good company, shared know-how, plenty of laughter and a genuinely warm welcome.

This year membership is free for under-18s and only £16 for everyone else. All memberships run January to December, outstanding value for year round access to one of the country’s finest slope sites.

Scale at White Sheet Continues to Deliver – Sunday 12th April
Message from your Scale Secretary:
A solid turnout of nine on the slope, and despite the bite in the air, conditions delivered some excellent lift. The showers held off longer than expected and passed through quickly, giving us a really enjoyable window of flying. By early afternoon the arrival of hail took the shine off things a touch, but by then we’d already made the most of what was on offer.
All in all, not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning, good company, good flying, and a reminder that the season is very much getting underway. With a bit of luck, those classic summer days of gentle breezes and booming thermals aren’t too far off now.
Great to see the continued support for Scale at White Sheet, let’s keep the momentum going and aim for an even bigger turnout at the next Scale Day, 10th May.
In the meantime, we now look ahead to Sunday 19th April for Open Slopes Day, where all classes of glider are welcome. A perfect opportunity to get everything in the air and enjoy whatever the slope gives us.
