Annual Membership Renewal – Why We Ask You to Reapply

We appreciate that completing a form each year can feel unnecessary, especially for long-standing members. However, there is an important reason for it.

WSRFC membership is granted on a one-year basis, with no automatic right of renewal. This is recognised as good governance practice, ensure the club operates fairly, consistently, and in line with current guidance.

Submitting the annual application confirms that you:

• Agree to abide by the club’s rules and handbook
• Consent to the club holding and processing your data in accordance with GDPR
• Allow the committee to use your contact details for club communications
• Understand that any content you share on WSRFC platforms may be used for club promotion (e.g. website or email updates)
• Update your vehicle registration details for the National Trust

In short, the annual form ensures that all members — new and renewing — are covered by the same clear agreements each year. It protects both you and the club.

Renewal simply requires completion of the following short online form.

Applications are usually processed within a couple of days.

By completing the form each year, you are helping to safeguard the club we all value and enjoy.

Ensuring you tick “Not Applicable” where we ask about vulnerable adult applications (unless it applies to you).

At the end, don’t forget to complete the quick “I am human” check - we like to be absolutely certain our pilots aren’t Ai in disguise.

Once submitted, the Treasurer will be in touch to arrange payment. If you haven’t heard anything within seven days, please do get in touch and give us a nudge.
